This module introduces one of the core notions in the model-driven approach developed during the PERICLES project: the Digital Ecosystem Model (DEM) which in the layered ontology composite is situated in between the Linked-Resource Model (LRM) as the most abstract upper level ontology, and the domain ontology as the most specific ontology.
